Have you ever wondered what would happen if the original lineup of Joy Division attempted to play surf rock while channeling the attitude of The Smiths? No, you haven’t. But if you had, it might sound something like The Drums, who do just that, surf rock tunes accompanied by one note chords with the absurdist tongue in cheek sense of humor of Morrissey’s. And here is a surf rock song about (of all things) surfing. Somehow the band takes all of those elements and makes them make sense, that is pretty cool. The video is a little silly and one part made me jump, but its a good song
