If Nick Cave isn’t the scariest thing you’ve heard today
then someone needs to give you a hug.
That’s pretty rough. This
is the opening track from The Bad Seeds most recent release “Dig, Lazarus,
Dig!!!” It has a more garage rock
sound, which makes sense considering it was released between the 2 Grinderman
releases. Well Seeds or Gman we are
still treated to the extraordinary frightening storytelling of Nick Cave. The ubiquitous church organ in the
track almost makes it seem like he preaching a contemporary scripture
story. We are also treated with a
few great guitar breaks that are to heavy to be mistaken as anything other then
Grinderman. Unfortunetly, the
world may never get another Grinderman release, but as long as the Bad Seed is
still putting out tracks like this then I guess I’ll be able to get by.
