Track of the Moment-Oblivion by Grimes

Getting signed to the right label is key for up and coming bands. Finding a label means two things, having a strong say in creative output,  and having the power to market your music. So when a new act signs to a well known label which has made a multitude of bands famous it’s a pretty big deal. Enter Grimes, a one women show with electronic backing and spacey vocal delivery, who just recently signed to 4AD, home of indie all stars such as St. Vincent and Deerhunter. After releasing an album big enough to get noticed by label execs and going on the road with Lykke Li, Grimes will be able to break out into the studio and record whatever she wants which often makes for some damn good records. Here is a track that will be on her forthcoming album Visions. The track is entitled Oblivion and the album should be out in February
