Music is an interesting bag, and whenever a song or band is compelling and reflective enough to get me to write those extremely vague words there is something more going on than the usual three chord chorus verse chorus verse. So is the case with the Spiritualized album and song Ladies and Gentleman We are Floating in Space. The album is essentially about struggles that the band faced with heroin which is reflected in the disconnected and very melancholic tone of the song. On top of that it is beautifully written and produced. The ever increasing amount of loops on the song creates a very vibrant song and the beeping sounds that make the listener think Apollo XIII come together to create something that is very special.
