Summer Psychosis 2: Preview for the First Round, Part One

Hello everyone,

I've been teasing you for the past week with introductions and such. But now we're getting down to business. I won't say too much because it's a long post as it is. Every one of the 64 songs is treasured by many and deserves to be here. That is why I wanted to include background information on all of them (though not pictures, unfortunately) and document their distinct origins. Voters, get to voting; you've got 16 matchups to do! Readers, enjoy these 32 songs before half of them are gone (though it seems impossible to rule any of them out). The results will be published on Friday, then Part Two of the First Round is Monday, May 20th.
