Mark’s Pick of the Week: Omega La La by Rubblebucket

Some bands make very technically intricate music. Others write music meant to stir up political or cultural change, or really make you think. And some bands are just plain fun! Rubblebucket falls into the last category.

This band is indie pop at its finest. Between the melodic singing, guitar and bass hooks and fantastic horn section this band has a disc bursting with some really catchy, really fun songs.

I have to take this opportunity to apologies to the band. They recently came to Philly, and I wasn’t able to see them. I vow to see them next time they come to town, because these guys seem like they would be a fantastic live show!

Their new live cd/dvd is available now for pre order on their website, so you can check out a live performance for yourself. They’re also touring so they could be coming round to a venue near you! Check them out at http://www.rubblebucket.com/
