Trust is a band. Yes duh, this is a music blog, and yes as far as bands go Trust is indeed one of them. They have all the requirements, of which there are only two, songs and at least two members. Alas, Trust meets the later requirement with the bare minimum. There are but two members, and one of them plays a laptop, but don’t hold that against them. Trust is a synth electronic band that draws heavily from 80’s synth goth pop acts such as pre-Land of Rape and Honey Ministry and The Cure. Not unlike their contemporaries Crystal Castles (who even got The Cure’s Robert Smith to sing on one of their songs) they deliver the goods as advertised with skill and fervor. Todays track is a number from their debut TRST, the single Sulk, which is one of the longer tracks on the album and is very good at what it sets out to do.
