Spoon is one of the most consistent bands out there. I can honestly say that I have never put on Spoon and been disappointed; they are one of these indie bands that can always deliver a good song without ever really innovating but without ever really stagnating either. There are only a few other bands that I would say the same of; The New Pornographers, Dr. Dog, and Belle and Sebastian are prime examples. Good song writing is good songwriting, and Spoon have shown time and again that they are good songwriters today’s track is The Underdog, an upbeat song with guitar drums and a horn ensemble, a bit of a staple for Spoon. If you like this you may like their entire discography, so if that’s the case give them a try.
