The Quakers project is an interesting one, the guys from
Portishead, excellent musicians in their own right, released over forty tracks
to their Soundcloud account and allowed them to be freely downloaded by anyone
interested in rapping over them, and then asking for the finished products in
return compiled an album of amateur and well known rappers , the best of the
applicant’s. It’s an interesting idea for sure, in essence turning the
traditional rap pattern of having one rapper use the produced tracks of various
different producers on its head. And while the rapping on the album is mixed, there
are a few standout tracks, and indeed the production is thoroughly good
throughout. Today’s picks is a standout from the beginning of the album the
track Fitta Happier
