It’s a little bit hard to think about Tame Impala and not
mention how similar their lead singer sounds at times to John Lennon. Like
seriously, was John Lennon reincarnated? Propably not, but if he had been
reincarnated, his music might sound today a little like what Tame Impala sound
like, and im not just saying that because they would win a John Lennon voice
impersonation contest bar none. Tame Impala make a sort of spaced out indie
rock, a lot of echo and all that, but with sort of a jangly feel to it, a feel
that is reminiscent of 60’s British Invasion. I remember being pretty
big into their last album when it came out, and im glad to see them continue to
put out material. This track Apocalypse Dreams seems to be similar in the vein
of their last album but more polished, with stronger song writing and
production without really stepping outside of the style that they have
established.
